The holidays are behind us, but many of us are returning to work even more exhausted than before we left for our vacations. It’s really no wonder with all of the additional tasks that the holiday festivities involve (wrapping presents, decorating trees, visiting relatives, cleaning up that wrapping paper, and much more). The good news is that there’s no better time to get back on track.

So, when thinking about your goals for 2023 (don’t worry, you can still formulate them post Dec. 31st), it’s very important to put self-care at the top of your list.

Here are a few ways that you can prioritize taking care of yourself this year:
1, Identify what’s important to you in terms of self-care.
2, Schedule it.
3, Factor in sleep.
4, Hydrate.
5, Plan your meals.
6, Work a solid fitness routine.
7, Book some time away.
8, Feed your mind.
9, Don’t forget alone time.
10, Remind yourself.

I – Word Understanding
Exhausted – very tired; drained of physical and/or mental energy
Get back on track – to return to the right direction
Factor in – to include (as a factor)

II – Have Your Say
1, How would you rate your self-care last year? What were your achievements and what are the changes you want to happen this year?
2, What’s important to you in terms of self-care? (massage, facial, spa, hot spring, etc.)
3, Do you plan your meals? If you could do so, what would your 1-week meal plan be?
4, What is your fitness routine? Name some physical activities that you enjoy the most.
5, Where have you always wanted to go? What are some things you have wanted to try but haven’t done yet?
6, Identify several ways that you can feed your mind and soul.
